Liam Perkin's journey from The Newbridge School to their current role as National Sales Performance Manager at NatWest is a testament to determination and embracing opportunities.During their school years at Newbridge School and The Castle Rock School, Liam's passion for subjects like Maths, Biology, and Psychology shone. These interests laid the foundation for their future career choices, reflecting their talents and passions.
Liam fondly recalls their time at school as a period of growth and support. Teachers recognised their potential and championed their interests, providing them with opportunities to flourish academically and personally.
Post-school, Liam embarked on a transformative journey. They completed a Prince's Trust programme, gained work experience at Dominos, and later pursued apprenticeships in Business Admin and Financial Services.
Liam's career journey saw them navigate various roles, including a stint in the printing industry before finding their niche in banking through an apprenticeship with NatWest in 2018. Over the past six years, Liam has climbed the corporate ladder, securing promotions and embracing significant responsibilities.
In their current role as National Sales Performance Manager, Liam's typical week is dynamic and multifaceted. From senior leadership management calls to organising industry events and managing risk, Liam's days are characterised by strategic planning and execution. They also spearhead the education agenda for the NatWest Group LGBT+ network and plays a pivotal role in organising the 2024 Pride programme.
Looking ahead, Liam aspires to senior leadership roles, possibly in business management or strategy. Their journey is marked by personal and professional accomplishments, from overcoming childhood challenges and being an undiagnosed ADHD individual to thriving in their career while being a dedicated parent.
