Champions again olé olé

A huge congratulations to our Year 9 Boys’ Football Team, who were victorious in a recent North West Leicestershire tournament.

Staged in a round-robin format, our team competed against other local schools – The Castle Rock School, Ashby School, Ivanhoe School and Ibstock Community College – in four 15-minute matches.

On their route to victory, the team avoided defeat in all their fixtures, winning three and drawing one. In a testament to our defensive solidarity, we conceded only one goal in those matches, keeping three clean sheets in the process. We were equally as potent going forward, netting a commendable eight goals across the tournament.

A talented cohort, this was the squad’s third consecutive victory in their competition, having won it when they were in Year 7 and also in Year 8. They will now go on to represent North West Leicestershire in the County Cup later this academic year.
